Glamping elevated.
Reset from the grind of daily life on a private glamping retreat amidst the Blue Ridge mountains.
Roast s’mores under the stars on a private platform nestled in the forest or venture into downtown Boone or Blowing Rock only minutes away.
Traverse a hanging bridge to sleep in a pod suspended from hardwood trees. Wake up to the music of the forest and enjoy a cup of local coffee before returning to the pace of your workweek.

Boone as a host was very hospitable and communication was excellent. The host’s attention to detail is top notch, I didn’t really think of anything that we would have needed for glamping that wasn’t there. We realized that it is a primitive camping area but it never really felt that way. The location is awesome. Secluded but really close to downtown Boone so you have an option to eat or shop to cook. It was very relaxing and very beautiful in the fall. We unfortunately had a very cold mid 30s weather so we opted to eat out. We were warm enough in the cocoon with 40 degree sleeping bags. It was nice to somehow feel off-the-grid and to not have an option to turn on a TV but not having to travel too far to get there. It was truly an elevated glamping experience in every way!

The stay was everything that I thought it was going to be and then some. There are enough amenities on site to appease the most hardcore glamper without losing the campy feel. The bins provided contain everything from bath towels to first aid kits, to mixing bowls. Our sleep in the cocoon was perfect and the small fan provided pushed out enough air to keep us comfortable. I can't wait to return to see how this little project unfolds!

This was the perfect place to get away from busy life. It was unique and comfortable, and well maintained! We enjoyed using the SoloStove (amazing by the way!!) to make a camp fire, and had we came better prepared, we would have brought food to grill on their SoloStove grill too!! Everything about this place gives you the peace and tranquillity that allows you to really relax! The location was private and secluded. Can’t wait to make another trip to Cocoon! Highly recommend staying here!

My 8 year old daughter and I chose Boone Cocoon on a whim and are so glad we did. We had a great time, slept well and overall loved being surrounded by nature, yet conveniently located to restaurants and activities. It’s only an 8 minute drive into downtown Boone and about 15 into Blowing Rock. Already looking forward to bringing boys here on a future stay.

My husband and I spent our one year anniversary here and it was everything we wanted it to be — and more! Boone Cocoon is impressive and wonderfully charming. It’s built exceptionally well, along with the swinging bridge and deck. The location is a HUGE plus! It totally feels like a secluded getaway, yet it’s only a short drive from ASU, Valle Crucis, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and more.

This is an amazing stay unlike any other! The hosts responded quickly, very kind, and great recommendations of hikes, food, and other things to do. It was the perfect location being secluded and quiet yet only 10 minutes to everything in town. The Cocoon was amazing with a comfy mattress as the floor, a deck with plenty of extra amenities for a fun time, and the new outdoor shower was fantastic! It was super clean, cozy and worth every penny! We will definitely be back again!
You can check out our youtube video to see more on our youtube channel, "Journey More." We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great glamping experience!

The Boone Cocoon was AMAZING! Highly recommended and I would stay here the next time I'm in Boone. My husband and I were in Asheville for a few nights on our mini-moon and we wanted to go to Boone for a day because I went to App State my first year of college. We weren't planning on camping, but we stumbled upon the Boone Cocoon on AirBnb and couldn't pass up the unique experience.

Boone Cocoon is an amazing place! Amazing views and privacy, the owners are absolutely the most welcoming people ever, and it was a unique and pleasant stay for a unique camping experience in the mountains.

It is definitely more glamping than just camping - wood for a fire burning solo stove grill we cooked s'mores on (the Boone Cocoon hosts provided the supplies), clean towels, board games, and much more. The host was quick to answer any messages and very helpful with all the questions we had.

As a first time glamper, I was particularly impressed . So, for all you first timers out there — have no fear! They also provided head lamps, towels, purified water, camping utensils, firewood, and biolite battery packs just to name a few. Frankly, we would’ve moved in if he’d let us! :)

You feel like you are MILES away from civilization, yet you are TWO miles away from everything!
